Sage Booklet - PDF sewing pattern
The Sage Booklet is a rewarding sewing project that allows you to create a useful item using a fun combination of fabric, zippers and vinyl. It is a great organizer that can be used to store so many different items: sewing supplies and notions, cosmetics, art supplies. The possibilities are endless!
The booklet has a total of 4 clear vinyl zippered compartments and 2 mesh pockets inside. It stays closed thanks to a tab closure with a magnetic snap.
Do not be intimidated by the binding - the video shows how easy it is!

- a cutting chart and photos of the booklet naming the various pieces

SUPPLIES:
Exterior fabric:
Fat quarter quilt weight cotton (42” W)Binding fabric:
40” L x 2” W binding strip104” L x 2 1/4” W binding strip cut ON THE BIAS
Lining fabric:
1/2 yard quilt weight cotton (42” W)18” x 18” mesh fabric
Interfacing:
3/4 yard Fusible woven interfacing (43” W)1/4 yard or less Fusible fleece (45” W)
1/2 yard firm sew-in interfacing (ex: Peltex - 20” W)
Notions and Supplies:
21” W x 12” H Vinyl(4) 11” zipper tape (#4.5, #5)
(1) 18mm magnetic snap
18” of foldover elastic (or prepare 18” of 1/2” wide double fold binding) - cut into (2) 9” lengths
SEWING EXPERIENCE: This pattern is best suited to an intermediate bag maker but confident beginners could probably manage while following along with the video tutorial. It will probably take around 4 hours to make this bag. The longest part is cutting, interfacing and preparation. Sewing the booklet is quite fast.
