The Strawflower convertible bag is a versatile and spacious accessory that can be carried in multiple ways: by the handles, as a shoulder bag using the included shoulder strap, or even cross-body with a longer strap if preferred. Its large exterior panels are perfect for showcasing bold fabrics, allowing for creative expression.
This bag features a total of five pockets to help organize your belongings efficiently: two zipper pockets on the exterior gusset, one zipper pocket and a double slip pocket inside the lining gusset. Despite the multiple pockets, the bag is relatively quick and easy to make, resulting in a practical and stylish end product.

Note 1: When the bag is picked up by the handles, the bag will fold in the middle. Avoid using lightweight fabrics that might create deep wrinkles when folded. Suggested fabric are: soft, pliable vinyl, cork with a natural base, waxed canvas, cotton canvas.

SEWING EXPERIENCE: The Strawflower is not a difficult sew and could be accomplished by a confident beginner with the help of the video tutorials found below. If made using the materials mentioned in the supplies list, it is a relatively quick project - around 6 hours. If using a lot of cotton fabric for the bag, you will need additional interfacing which would add an additional 1-2 hours.
