The Daisy Cross Body Bag - PDF Sewing pattern

The Daisy is a medium sized cross body bag with an optional modified dresden plate patchwork and an adjustable strap. The Daisy cross body bag's exterior panels have pleats along the bottom where they join a gusset. You can use a variety of fabrics for this bag - quilt weight cotton, faux leather, canvas, denim, etc. For the patchwork you can try a set of coordinating fabrics or fussy cut an interesting pattern from a single fabric. The options are endless!

On the inside of the bag, there are 2 slip pockets and 1 zippered pocket. It has a zippered closure.

SUPPLIES:

Exterior fabric:
1/2 yard Exterior fabric 1
1/3 yard Exterior fabric 2/Vinyl/Cork
If making scallops, you’ll need an additional 1/4 yard to 1/2 yard depending on fussy cutting

Lining fabric:
1 yard Lining fabric

Interfacing:
4 yards Fusible woven interfacing
1/4 yard Foam interfacing (20” wide)
1/3 yard Fusible fleece (45” wide)

Notions and Supplies:
(2) 1” D-rings
(1) 1.5” rectangle slide
(2) 1.5” swivel clasps
(1) 14” handbag zipper (#4.5 or #5)
(1) 9” dress zipper (#3)

MEASUREMENTS:
13” W x 9” H x 7” D (33 cm x 22.9 cm x 17.8 cm)

SEWING EXPERIENCE: This project should be suitable for intermediate sewists. It is not a difficult sewing project and should take approximately approx.4-5 hours depending on your sewing experience and whether you include the patchwork.
