The Oleander Organizer Bag - PDF Sewing Pattern
The Oleander Organizer bag is a cross body bag with a built-in wallet on the front exterior. The wallet compartment has a flap closure with a tongue lock which can then be opened wider by opening 2 zippers on each side of the pocket. Inside the organizer compartment, you will find 8 card slots, one zippered pocket, one open slip pocket and one slip pocket with a flap (and magnetic snap closure).
For the main interior of the bag, you will find 1 zippered pocket, 2 slip pockets, 2 pen slip pockets and a key swivel clasp on a ribbon.
The main compartment of the bag closes with a zippered closure.
SUPPLIES:
Exterior fabric:
3/4 yard quilt weight cotton which can be separated as follows:
1/2 yard Accent fabric 1
1/2 yard Accent fabric 2
1/4 yard Accent fabric 3
Lining fabric:
1 yard quilt weight cotton (includes lining components of organizer pocket)
Interfacing:
1 1/4 yard lightweight fusible
1 yard fusible fleece
1/2 yard Peltex or similar heavyweight interfacing
Notions and supplies:
(3) 6” zipper or longer (organizer pocket)
(1) 8” zipper (interior zippered pocket)
(1) 11” zipper or longer (main closure)
(1) 1.25” rectangle ring
(1) 1.25” rectangle slide
(1) tongue lock (1-1/4” x 1-1/2”)
(1) 14mm magnetic snap (invisible or regular)
(1) 1/2” capable swivel clasp (OPTIONAL)
MEASUREMENTS:
8.75" W x 8.75" H x 4" D
SEWING EXPERIENCE: This project is suitable for intermediate/advance sewing skills. It is quite a long project because of all the components included in the bag but it is not a very difficult project. It will take approximately 6-7 hours to complete the first one. A cutting chart has been provided for your convenience.
