The Magnolia Mini Messenger - PDF Sewing Pattern
$12.00 CAD
By purchasing this listing you are not purchasing a finished bag. This is a PDF sewing pattern to make the bag pictured.
This mini messenger bag is perfect if you prefer a medium sized cross body bag. The possibilities are endless if you combine different types of fabrics: you can make a flap with a single fabric and an accent piece (like ribbon!), you can make the flap with a piece of accent on the bottom such as faux leather or denim. I have also included the instructions to make a patchwork flap like in the photos.
If you choose to use faux leather accents when making this bag, it is best to use a walking foot or a Teflon foot for your machine. If you do not have a walking foot, you can always sew with a layer of tissue paper between the foot of your machine and the vinyl and then carefully tear off when your seams have been sewn. However, I highly recommend a walking foot/Teflon foot!!
For the interior of the bag, I give instructions for the slip pockets, an optional zippered pocket, installation of a magnetic snap and creating an adjustable strap.
This bag uses sew-in interfacing to give the bag structure (I use duck canvas).
