The Freesia Foldover Bag - PDF Sewing Pattern

The Freesia Foldover bag is quick, stylish sewing project. This is a cross-body bag with a removable strap so it can be used as a clutch as well. The design shows a vinyl bottom with a fabric upper but it can be made entirely in fabric if desired. There is one exterior zippered pocket on the back and 2 slip pockets inside the bag. Instructions for the installation of an invisible magnetic snap have been provided but the bag can be made with a regular magnetic snap or none at all.

1/4 yard Vinyl/Faux Leather

Lining fabric:
1 yard Quilt Weight Cotton
Interfacing:
1.5-2 yards SF 101 or equivalent woven fusible interfacing
1.5-2 yards fusible interfacing
(2) 2”x2” scraps of Peltex interfacing
Notions and supplies:
(1) 10” zipper (if using a longer zip, make sure final zipper length including casings is 11 inches)
(1) 8” zipper
(2) 3/4” D-ring
(2) 1” swivel clips
(1) 1” rectangle slide
(1) invisible magnetic snap (you can also use a regular 18mm magnetic snap)

SEWING EXPERIENCE: This project is suitable for a confident beginner. It can be made in 2 - 2.5 hours depending on your experience.
