Hi! I'm Crystal of The Cloth Albatross. I'm so excited to be hosting the sew-along (SAL) for the Blue Calla Dahlia Bucket Bag. I love this pattern. The only thing intimidating about this bag are the grommets, so we're going to cover them thoroughly. I'm actually going to set aside Day 2 of the SAL specifically for grommet practice, so that we can get it out of the way and feel confident going forward.
The SAL itself will last 5 days but you will have 1 month to complete your Dahlia to be eligible for SAL prizes.
Details
This sew-along will be separated into 5 days:
Day 1 - READING the pattern, cutting, and fusing the pieces (Monday, June 13th)
Day 2 - Grommet practice (Wednesday, June 15th)
Day 3 - Strap and exterior assembly (Saturday, June 18th)
Day 4 - Interior assembly (Monday, June 20th)
Day 5 - Drawstring and final assembly (Wednesday June 22nd)
Last day to enter for prizes: Tuesday July 12th
How do I join?
First, if you'd like to participate but you don't have the Dahlia Bucket Bag pattern, you can get it in the Blue Calla pattern shop here. For the duration of this sew-along, the Dahlia Bucket Bag pattern will be on sale at 40% off. To get the discount, you must enter coupon code DAHLIASAL at checkout. (If you are using Paypal for your purchase, you will see the coupon code box when you return to the Blue Calla website AFTER you login to Paypal's website.)
When you have completed your Dahlia Bucket Bag, you can enter to win prizes by doing any of the following:
